The Christ Mission to the World (CM) was formed in 2008  and the initiative for it's formation was spearheaded by Rt. Rev.Garang, Tabitha Nyanut Ayii his wife and Southern Sudanese church leaders from different denominations who felt that it was desirable to strengthen the capacity of rural communities in Southern Sudan  in the areas of resource mobilization, community development and fund raising. CMW works with rural communities the implementation of Community development, problem identification and community mobilization and sensitization through collaboration, participatory research and evidence-based advocacy.

Christ Mission to the World operates on a project-by-project basis, with support from the donor community, funding from private donors, foundations, individuals and government sources. We work with a team of community social workers, volunteers, and associates. Our model is to work in partnership with civil society organizations, institutions, donors, and individuals. Christ Mission to the World works in partnership with NGOs, by invitation, to provide research, capacity building, and an exchange of knowledge and learning. Rt. Rev. Garang Chan and Tabitha Nyanut Ayii, who serves as the Directors, founded the Christ Mission to the World.

CMW is the only christian organization of it's kind in Northern Bahr El Ghazal State involved in building the capacity of rural communities in sustainable community based development and management. CMW, with a capacity of 8 eight members have the capacity, ability and experience to implement their programmes.

Though the government is already having many issues in her tray including the forthcoming referendum, political reforms, Health services, the returnees, transformation of SPLM into civil government among others,it's imperative to consider  building the capacity of the rural communities including local community resource mobilization and management.

To improve the social and economic activities of the rural communities in Northern Bahr El Ghazal State, CMW target area, community capacity building will be used to enhance volunteer participation in community activities including construction of schools, health center,drilling of water boreholes as well as community mobilization and sensitization.

As the development arm of the rural communities, Christ Mission to the World has an obligation to seek international support to provide support and partnership to the affected communities. The organization programmes targets a population of 100,000 families representing approximately 720,090 people in Northern Bahr El Ghazal State..

Our Vision Statement

Our vision is to promote community based development through capacity building among Sudanese population to fight hunger, diseases, homelessness, illiteracy, civil strife, drought and environmental degradation.

Christ Mission to the World is committed to promoting tangible and comprehensive community development that brings hope through provision of holistic services to the church and communities.
To promote basic capacity building that enables sustainable development and improving livelihoods of the poor communities through innovative farming that brings dramatic reduction to poverty, illiteracy and injustices.

Goals

To help those suffering from extreme poverty through holistic programmes and improve their living conditions especially upon returning home after the signing of Comprehensive Peace Agreement in 2005.
